Haiti, the Western Hemisphere's poorest nation, was hit by one of the most powerful earthquakes in its history on Tuesday, January 12.  The capital city of Port-au-Prince was devastated, with a tremendous loss of life and property.  Here's how you can help:

• Mail your check to Istrouma Baptist Church, 10500 Sam Rushing Dr., Baton Rouge, LA, 70816.  Please make checks payable to Istrouma and write Haiti Relief Fund in the memo line. 
• Donate at church.  You can give during either of our morning services at 9:15am or 10:45am or in your ABF.  Be sure to note Haiti Relief Fund on your check.

Istrouma is coordinating with other churches and relief organizations to arrange trips to Haiti in the coming weeks and months.  If you are interested in going on one of these trips and you have:

• a valid passport AND
• the flexibility to leave for a week on short notice (within 1 or 2 days)
