COVID-19 Updates

UPDATED:  April 29, 9:00am

See Istrouma's Welcome Back plan here.

In light of Governor John Bel Edwards’ announcement extending Louisiana’s stay-home order through May 15, we will continue to suspend all on-campus activities through that time. Please know that we are closely monitoring all directives from our state and national leaders and are praying and planning for the next phases of church life.
There are many factors to consider and we will not be able to make further decisions prior to the governor’s next update, expected on May 11. We will continue to update you with any new information.
We would appreciate your feedback (and prayers!) as we navigate the next phases. Please complete the survey at the link below by Wednesday, May 6. Your input will help us as we strive to make informed and responsible decisions.

During these uncertain times, it's so important that we look to the Lord for his help and guidance. We may not be able to gather together in one place to pray, but we can still lift up our voices collectively to God. To help us do that, we kicked off a new prayer emphasis on Sunday and there's still plenty of time to join in!

You can download the printable prayer guide each week or watch for the daily prompt on Istrouma's Facebook each morning. Then just use the prompts and suggested scriptures as a guide while you pray.

We hope you'll be a part of it, and as always, we want to stay in touch with you. If you have a need of any kind, please contact any of the Lead Team members or you can submit your information here.

Current social distancing guidelines are in effect through May 15. We will, of course, observe those guidelines and will monitor further recommendations from local and national officials. In light of the most recent recommendations, all on-campus events are canceled through May 15. Our offices will remain closed during this time as well.

We will continue to livestream our services on Sundays at 9:15am on YouTube and Facebook Live. Choose a platform and stay connected as we watch, study, and pray together. Watch Istrouma’s social media and YouTube on Wednesday evenings for an encouraging midweek devotional.

We want to stay connected, now more than ever! To help get important information and updates to you, we will send regular updates through Mailchimp, our e-newsletter service. If you’ve had problems getting those emails in the past, please check your spam, junk, or clutter folders. If you find emails from "" in those folders, mark them “not junk” and drag or move them into your inbox. You might have to repeat this more than once. If you’re not sure if you are on our Mailchimp email list, click here to submit your information. Questions? Contact us.

We have an incredible opportunity to love our neighbors and our community during this time of quarantine and social distancing.
